Turnitin Clarity underwent scheduled enhancement on Monday, December 1, 2025. With this update, the Bruin Learn CoE will continue exploring Turnitin Clarity through the Spring 2026 academic term to evaluate its ability to provide instructors with deeper insight into the student writing process and to support responsible student engagement with generative AI within writing assignments.

Turnitin and Gradescope underwent scheduled maintenance on Saturday, March 7, 2026, from 8:00 am - 12:00 pm PT. During this time, several Turnitin and Gradescope features were unavailable.
As we move further into the winter quarter, I would like to share a brief update on several key initiatives advancing UCLA’s digital priorities.
In alignment with evolving cybersecurity best practices, UCLA is strengthening protections around how you sign in to campus systems.
Bruin Learn / Canvas LMS experienced a service incident between January 2024 and July 2025. During this period, a configuration processing discrepancy associated with the Roll Call Attendance tool occurred for institutions using the Canvas LMS, and the “do not count toward the final grade” setting was not correctly copied from Roll Call to Canvas. As a result, Roll Call did not properly apply attendance scores to the final grade in the Canvas Gradebook.
