Overview
In addition to established IT strategic committees, various advisory and alignment groups contribute significantly to the success of the IT governance ecosystem.
Advisory and alignments groups, which may be a standing or temporary, ad-hoc structures:
- Share insights
- Provide domain-specific technology perspectives
- Identify opportunities, challenges, or barriers
- Advise on certain approaches
- Participate on working groups, pilot projects, etc.
- Champion alignment of standards and best practices
Ongoing engagement with these groups fosters community and cooperation, ensures diversity of perspectives, inputs, and insights, and furthers knowledge sharing and awareness.
