• Pricing Model: Pay-as-you-go consumption. Billed monthly to your department’s FAU based on your usage

Getting Started

Because API usage incurs variable, usage-based consumption costs, access requires a verified departmental billing authorization:

1. Secure Billing Approval: Confirm an active departmental FAU and spending ceiling with your departmental fund manager or lab administrator
2. Submit Access Request: Submit an OpenAI API Provisioning Request through the UCLA IT Support Portal / Software Central
3. Tenancy Onboarding: Once the FAU is validated, your team will be provisioned APIs keys complete with the ability to review your usage and spend on-demand
