Perusall underwent scheduled enhancement on Tuesday, July 7, 2026. With this update, instructors can enable Prompt or Quiz Checkpoints in Perusall social annotation activities. Checkpoints allow instructors to add interactive markers within Perusall assignments to guide students through the content. Students must respond to each checkpoint before continuing, helping ensure they actively engage with the material instead of simply scrolling through to the end.
