Dear Colleagues:

Enclosed is the revised Presidential Policy, IMT-1300: IT Accessibility Policy, for your records and information. The Policy was revised to reflect recent updates to the compliance deadlines for Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973.

This update revises elements where Policy requirements directly correspond to federal compliance timelines. Requirements tied to federal regulations now reflect the updated compliance deadlines. At the same time, UC-specific programmatic expectations and operational requirements remain in effect, and locations are expected to continue making measurable progress under the current Policy. Edits were made to:

• Change the dates in the definition of "Archived Content";
• Change the dates related to when electronic documents and UC social media posts must comply with the Accessibility Standard (Section III.A.1.b and Section III.A.1.e, respectively); and
• Remove the UC-specific programmatic dates in Section III.A.1, Section III.B, and Section V.A.

The revised Policy will be posted online at the UCOP Presidential Policies page.
