Overview
After the Core Infrastructure Build and Pilot, we will move through phased migrations in waves. The migration approach is designed to start with lower-complexity environments, build experience, resolve issues early, and scale more predictably over time.
Wave Criteria
Wave 1
- Migrate DTS-managed TRs first to expedite the transition with the fewest dependencies.
- Target TRs that require minimal to no remediation before migration.
- Begin with the least complex migrations to reduce early disruption.
- Avoid dependencies on department-managed infrastructure where possible.
Wave 2
- Complete migrations of the remaining DTS-managed TRs.
- Begin shared or department-managed TR migrations where coordination can reduce revisits and downtime.
Wave 3
- Complete the remaining shared or department-managed TRs and remote sites.
- Address deferred TRs that were moved into later waves because of remediation delays or added complexity.
Timing for Unit Involvement
More information about the exact wave timing will be shared through project communications once available.
