Piazza will undergo scheduled enhancement during the week of Monday, September 14, 2026. With this update, Piazza has introduced two AI-powered summarization features that can be enabled for courses:

• Folder Summarization: Allows instructors and students to generate a summary of activity within folders containing at least five posts.
• Follow-up Summarization: Allows instructors and students to generate a summary of discussions on posts containing five or more follow-up comments.

Both features are disabled by default and must be enabled before they are available in a course. AI Summaries help instructors and students quickly review longer or high-volume discussions by highlighting key themes, questions, clarifications, and resolutions without requiring them to read every post or comment.
