Hypothesis underwent scheduled enhancement on Wednesday, June 25, 2025. With this update, the Hypothesis social annotation tool in Bruin Learn now supports image annotation. Users can create area selections or pins over images to indicate the specific part of a document their annotation references. Previously, only text could be selected and highlighted. Please note that image annotation is limited to PDF documents, with support for additional file types coming soon. This feature enables more focused discussions on visual elements such as data, diagrams, or scanned handwriting.
