As of Oct. 21, 2026, UCLA's legacy Bruin OnLine personal web hosting service (webspace.bol.ucla.edu) is no longer available. Websites hosted on the service can no longer be viewed online.

Why we retired the service

A newly disclosed critical security vulnerability affects the software these websites ran on. The service's server software is many years past the end of security support, and no fix is available for it. Keeping the service online would put UCLA's systems and accounts at risk, so we've taken it offline permanently.

Getting a copy of your website

Your website's files are being preserved. If you had a personal website on the service, you can request a copy from the IT Support Center. Call 310-267-4357 or email help@it.ucla.edu, and include your UCLA Logon ID and your website's address.

Once we've confirmed your identity, we'll share a downloadable zip file of your website's files with you through Box.
