Bruin Learn (Canvas) is currently experiencing an outage caused by an ongoing AWS incident that started on Sunday, October 19, 2025 around 10:00 pm PT. While this issue is being addressed by the service provider, we will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates to the campus community as they become available.

A team of UCLA students has developed BruinXplore, an AI-powered app that helps students cut through information overload and find extracurricular activities that match their interests and schedules.
AI-powered scheduling helps UCLA students streamline their academic journey
UCLA’s Digital & Technology Solutions (DTS) and Enrollment Management teams have reimagined student support on August 28, 2025 by launching BruinChat, an AI-powered assistant that delivers 24/7, personalized financial aid guidance.
Piazza underwent scheduled enhancement on Friday, September 19, 2025. With this update, the user interface for Piazza will be updated for all Fall ’25 courses, affecting both instructors and students.
Bruin Learn will undergo scheduled enhancement in Summer 2025. With this update, instructors can use differentiation tags to assign specific content to customized groups of students, without those groups being visible to students. Additionally, admins can access these tags through Canvas Data for reporting and analysis.
