The University of California is providing ongoing coverage of the security incident affecting the Canvas learning management system. Please visit the UC Net news page for additional information.

Dear Bruin Community:

There is currently an outage with Bruin Learn (Canvas). Digital & Technology Solutions and the Teaching and Learning Center are aware of the issue. Instructure, the parent company of Canvas, is currently responding to a nationwide outage affecting thousands of institutions.

In addition to the measures taken by Instructure, UCLA has proactively disabled local access to Bruin Learn out of precaution. The Teaching and Learning Center website is being updated to provide information about instructional continuity options for faculty.

For the most recent updates on this incident, please access UCLA’s System Status page or Instructure’s Status page. The UC Office of the President is also providing updates to the UC community as the situation evolves.
