Bruin Learn / Canvas underwent scheduled enhancement on Saturday, July 20, 2024. With this update, the Inbox/Conversations tool allows instructors and students to add a plain text signature that will automatically be added to any new messages they compose.

Bruin Learn / Canvas underwent scheduled enhancement on Saturday, July 20, 2024. With this update, a separate "Time" field has been added to the "Due" and "Availability" dates. A "Clear" function now allows users to clear these dates with one click. When instructors add "Assign To" settings to an assignment or discussion from within a Module, the note "Inherited From [module]" will appear. Instructors can also edit the "Assign To" settings directly from an Assignment or graded Discussion page without editing the entire activity.

Bruin Learn / Canvas underwent scheduled enhancement on Wednesday, July 17, 2024. With this update, in SpeedGrader, after drafting a comment and moving on to another student, a "Draft" label displays, indicating that the comment has not been submitted.

Bruin Learn / Canvas underwent scheduled enhancement on Tuesday, June 18, 2024. With this update, instructors and students on the All Courses page can now sort their courses by the following categories: Favorite, Course, Nickname, Term, Role ("Enrolled as"), and Published.

Turnitin and Gradescope underwent scheduled maintenance on Saturday, August 17, 2024, from 6:00 am – 2:00 pm PT. During this time, some Turnitin and Gradescope features were unavailable.

Bruin Learn / Canvas underwent scheduled enhancement on Sunday, June 30, 2024. With this change, there will be a redesigned Help Menu in Bruin Learn. This update aims to better meet the needs of our faculty and students. 

We are writing to share that Permanent Baseline Quotas have been applied to all UCLA Google Workspace personal accounts and shared drives on June 27, 2024 (with exception to those accounts that were granted quota extension).

With this update, if someone has selected pronouns in their Canvas profile, those pronouns will now be displayed in Inbox messages. Additionally, pronouns will appear in the drop-down menu when composing a message and in the Inbox search field.

With this update, the "Message Students Who" Cutoff Value field in the Gradebook has been relocated, and a header has been added for clarity. Additionally, a message now informs instructors that the values they see may differ from what students see in the Gradebook.
