We are excited to announce that UCLA's Information Technology Services (ITS) is now UCLA Digital & Technology Solutions (DTS). This change in name reflects the beginning of our renewed commitment to innovation, strategic partnership and excellence in supporting the university's mission.
Over the past year, our organization has undergone a comprehensive transformation through the Reimagine IT: Talent initiative. This initiative was designed to modernize our structure and operating model, realign our strategic priorities and enhance our ability to deliver exceptional technology experiences. The impetus for our transformation has been to create a more cohesive, efficient and forward-thinking IT organization that can better serve the academic and administrative needs of our campus community.

DTS is the central IT department at UCLA. We are dedicated to providing core digital services Bruins rely on to advance education, research and community service at the nation’s #1 public university. With a human-centered approach, DTS offers user-friendly, secure and reliable technology solutions that allow users to accomplish their goals. Guided by the principles of innovation, acceleration and inspiration, DTS is driving technological excellence and shaping a more connected, modern and innovative campus where Bruins thrive.
Why the Change in Name?
The change to UCLA Digital & Technology Solutions embodies more than just a new name. It represents our renewed focus on:
- Strategic Alignment: We have revisited and realigned our strategic priorities to better support UCLA's mission. Through this effort, we have improved our core digital service delivery so that our solutions are more robust, reliable and intuitive than ever before. We have also introduced new priorities as part of the Digital Campus Roadmap, which outlines a pathway to enhance teaching, learning and research at UCLA. This roadmap aligns with the university's goals and paves the way to an exceptional technology experience for the entire campus community.
- Organizational Excellence: We have restructured our organization to promote a culture of continuous learning, diversity and innovation. By modernizing roles, redefining our ways of working and investing in talent development, we are better positioned to meet the evolving needs of our campus community.
