Bruin Learn / Canvas will undergo scheduled enhancement on Monday, June 15, 2026. With this update, when the Customizable Dashboard for Learners feature option is enabled, students will have access to a personalized dashboard experience that makes it easier to manage coursework, grades, deadlines, announcements, and communication in one centralized location. Key features include:
- Centralized Coursework Widget: View assignments from all courses in one place.
- Filtering Options: Sort tasks by course or status, such as “Missing” or “Upcoming.”
- Direct-to-Task Access: Open assignments and quizzes directly from the dashboard.
- Updated To-Do List: Quickly view upcoming deadlines and required tasks.
- Instant Grades Widget: See overall course grades at a glance.
- Recent Grades & Feedback: Access instructor comments and scores without opening individual courses.
- People Widget: Quickly find and message instructors.
- Announcements Feed: View course announcements in an updated layout.
- Customizable Layouts: Add, remove, or rearrange widgets based on personal priorities.
- Dashboard View Options: Switch between the new dashboard and the classic dashboard view.
The updated dashboard makes it easier for students to quickly access important course information and tools by placing assignments, grades, deadlines, and announcements in a more centralized and visible location.
