Ally will undergo scheduled enhancement during the week of Monday, September 14, 2026. With this update, Ally is introducing a new PDF Auto Tagging Quick Fix that allows instructors to add structural tags to untagged PDFs directly from the Ally Instructor Feedback panel. PDF tags identify elements such as headings, paragraphs, lists, tables, images, and reading order, helping assistive technologies correctly interpret and navigate the document. The new Quick Fix makes it easier for instructors to address a common PDF accessibility issue without leaving Bruin Learn or using specialized PDF remediation software. Ally guides instructors through generating and reviewing the document structure before they approve the changes. Once approved, the newly tagged PDF replaces the original file and becomes the version available to students. Ally then updates the document’s accessibility score in the Instructor Feedback panel, course content, and Course Accessibility Report.
