Migration Goals

  • Test and validate components of the network design.
  • Migrate pilot TR devices onto the new network.
  • Use pilot execution and readiness activities to refine migration planning for later.

Migration Scope

Detailed pilot planning is occurring alongside migration planning. The current pilot scope includes the following TRs and locations:

  • CSB 1-2215A (select stacks only)
  • Haines Hall: A40, 184, and 242
  • Knudsen Hall: A170 and B145A
  • Perloff Hall: B243, 1125A, and 1203A

The current device scope is limited to DTS MNS wired and wireless devices only. Department-managed equipment is not included in this phase. Only devices in the specified TRs are in scope.

Pilot Selection Criteria

  • DTS-managed infrastructure
  • Little to no department dependencies
  • Minimal remediations
  • Low technical complexities
