Digital and Technology Solutions is committed to enhancing the digital experience of UCLA students, faculty and staff.

DTS offers the following collaboration tools free of charge to all UCLA students, faculty and staff. Please see descriptions below for each product, and how to get started.

  • Box: The university-approved, secure method to store and share documents online
  • DocuSign: A secure, legally-binding electronic signature application, allowing you to sign and complete documents from anywhere at any time.
  • 1Password: 1Password simplifies your online life by remembering your passwords for you.

     

  • Slack: Slack is a messaging and collaboration platform available to all UCLA students, faculty and staff.
  • Zoom: Zoom is UCLA’s choice for video and web conferencing, enabling you to attend meetings or classes remotely.

A VPN is a secured private network connection built on top of publicly-accessible infrastructure. The Campus VPN service provides an alternative to using the proxy server for remote access to the UCLA Library and other campus resources. Campus VPN access is restricted to registered students and university employees with an active staff/faculty appointment. You will be required to enroll in and authorize your login attempts using Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) to connect to the Campus VPN.

Office 365 (O365) is part of Enterprise Messaging. It is a subscription-based online version of the Office platform that pairs web-based Office applications with cloud storage. O365 has 100 GB mailbox quotas, greater redundancy, Office Web Apps, One Drive for Business, Skype for Business, and many other features.

Google Apps is an integrated communication and collaboration solution offered by Google, which includes Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Docs, and more. Google Apps is available to employees, students, alumni, and retirees. Affiliated individuals can be granted accounts with appropriate authorization.

Make and take phone calls from your VoIP (Voice over IP) office phone number on your laptop or mobile device with Jabber. To request a Jabber account, submit your request through the Web Center. You may request access to Web Center from your Departmental Security Administrator (DSA); or ask your DSA for the designated individual who can order services on your behalf or on behalf of your department.
