We are pleased to announce that three new artificial intelligence (AI) tools are now available for use in UCLA-hosted Zoom meetings.
Zoom AI Companion offers a set of generative AI features that can be enabled within Zoom meetings to empower teams by helping users be more productive, connect and collaborate with teammates, and improve meeting effectiveness and teamwork skills.
The new Zoom AI Companion features available to UCLA faculty, staff and students include:
- Meeting Summary
- In-Meeting Questions
- Smart Recording
To encourage thoughtful consideration to data security and privacy requirements, these settings will remain disabled for all users by default. You may enable and customize these capabilities at your discretion.
As a reminder, it is the responsibility of the meeting host and all meeting participants to monitor meeting content and take the necessary precautions to safeguard sensitive and/or protected information from being included in meeting recordings, meeting minutes or AI-generated meeting summaries.
