IBM Cognos Analytics is one of UCLA’s business intelligence (BI) platforms. It provides centralized reporting and ad-hoc analysis on the campus data warehouse. Cognos sources vetted data, offers a wide variety of reports built by the Reporting & Analytics team, and also supports self-authoring, publishing, and data manipulation capabilities. A robust security model ensures users can view data only for the departments authorized by their DSA (Departmental Security Administrator).
Getting Started
In order to access Cognos (CDW), you'll need a QDB account. To obtain one, please reach out to your DSA to request it. Once you have access, you are encouraged to start by reading the Cognos Navigation guide.
