iClicker underwent scheduled enhancement on Monday, December 1, 2025. With this update, iClicker will introduce a feature that allows instructors to collect attendance scores and sync them directly to the Bruin Learn Gradebook.
Bruin Learn COE
Turnitin Clarity underwent scheduled enhancement on Monday, December 1, 2025. With this update, the Bruin Learn CoE is exploring Turnitin Clarity for the Winter and Spring 2026 terms to assess its ability to give instructors deeper insight into the student writing process and support responsible student use of generative AI within writing assignments.
Peerceptiv underwent scheduled enhancement on Friday, November 21, 2025. With this update, enhanced instructor grading tools in Peerceptiv make it easier for instructors to review and assess student work.
Respondus underwent scheduled enhancement on Thursday, August 28, 2025. With this update, a “Screen Only” option has been added, allowing instructors to limit recordings only to a student’s screen during an exam.
There was a Campus Network Incident on Thursday, November 20, 2025, that affected multiple services across campus. Digital & Technology Solutions (DTS) has restored network connectivity for all services, including student and financial systems such as MyUCLA and Bruin Bill.
Bruin Learn (Canvas) is currently experiencing an outage caused by an ongoing AWS incident that started on Sunday, October 19, 2025 around 10:00 pm PT. While this issue is being addressed by the service provider, we will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates to the campus community as they become available.

Piazza underwent scheduled enhancement on Friday, September 19, 2025. With this update, the user interface for Piazza will be updated for all Fall ’25 courses, affecting both instructors and students.
Bruin Learn will undergo scheduled enhancement in Summer 2025. With this update, instructors can use differentiation tags to assign specific content to customized groups of students, without those groups being visible to students. Additionally, admins can access these tags through Canvas Data for reporting and analysis.
