Delivering a Unified Digital Experience for One UCLA
UCLA continues to strengthen the digital foundation that supports teaching, research, and operations across campus. Digital & Technology Solutions (DTS), in close partnership with campus functional and IT leaders, is advancing efforts to modernize infrastructure, improve cybersecurity and accessibility, and support a more connected One IT environment.
This refreshed version of the monthly message brings that work into clearer focus. Each edition highlights key initiatives and progress across areas such as infrastructure, security, and service delivery, offering a more complete view of how UCLA’s digital environment is evolving and how it supports the university’s academic and operational mission.
Across campus, these efforts are helping align technology services and improve coordination between units. They are also expanding access to shared tools and strengthening security and accessibility practices, while enabling faculty, students, and staff to focus more fully on teaching, research, and their day-to-day work. Over time, this work is building a more consistent and integrated digital experience across UCLA.
We will soon introduce a DTS Timeline to provide additional visibility into key milestones and how this work continues to take shape.

Key Initiatives
Advancing One IT
Working groups are now reviewing discovery data gathered from UCLA IT Unit Leaders across campus to better understand the university’s current technology landscape. These insights will help guide recommendations for improving coordination, service model, and how IT will work together under the One IT initiative.
Safeguarding Our Technology Environment
UCLA continues strengthening cybersecurity oversight and risk management across campus. Recent work includes completing the Asset & Data Visibility project and progressing initiatives that will assess core identity infrastructure and enhance how the university manages information security risk.
Building a Unified Network
UCLA’s Network Unification program is continuing the build of a new network core and backbone, creating the foundation for a more modern, secure, and reliable campus network. As this work moves forward, select campus units will begin participating in a pilot to help prepare for a broader rollout.
Elevating Digital Accessibility
UCLA is advancing its campus-wide Digital Accessibility Initiative. Cross-campus teams are assessing risks and identifying opportunities to improve accessibility across digital platforms, content, and services as the university prepares for upcoming federal accessibility compliance requirements.
Strengthening Financial Aid and Student Support
UCLA continues advancing financial aid systems through the Bruin Financial Aid program. Current aid disbursements remain on track while teams prepare for the next award cycle and upcoming federal financial aid policy and technology changes.
