Transforming HR Technology to Enhance UCLA’s Workforce

Empowering UCLA’s workforce starts with modern, efficient HR systems. In partnership with Campus Human Resources, Digital & Technology Solutions (DTS) launched the HR IT Systems Optimization Program (HRITSO) to streamline HR processes, enhance service delivery, and improve the employee and applicant experience.

This initiative introduced three advanced HR systems:

  • Bruin CHR Service Center – A centralized hub to simplify HR service requests
  • JDXpert – A robust tool for position description management
  • iCIMS & Redesigned UCLA Campus Job Opportunities Website – A modern recruitment platform that replaces PeopleAdmin, which served the university for over 15 years

Together, these systems:

  • Streamline HR Service Delivery – Making it easier to submit and track HR requests
  • Enhance Visibility & Transparency – Providing real-time insights into approvals and statuses
  • Improve Talent Acquisition – Elevating UCLA’s ability to attract, recruit, and hire top talent

As part of the transition, 1,100+ campus stakeholders were engaged, and over 2,000 users participated in training sessions—ensuring the UCLA community is equipped to leverage these new tools effectively.

With these modern solutions, CHR and HR teams can deliver faster, more efficient support, empowering UCLA’s workforce to focus on what truly matters—education, discovery, and impact.
