Bruin Learn / Canvas underwent scheduled maintenance on Wednesday, May 15, 2024. With this update to the service, students' email addresses can be updated in bulk within their Bruin Learn user accounts, on a unit-by-unit basis, to ensure they reflect the correct unit-specific addresses.

Bruin Learn / Canvas underwent scheduled enhancement on Monday, May 13, 2024. With this update, thirteen AWS lambda functions will be updated to use query requests instead of using scan requests.

Bruin Learn / Canvas underwent scheduled enhancement on Wednesday, May 8, 2024. With this change, the "Message Students Who" feature in the Gradebook now allows instructors to message students who have submitted an assignment. Instructors can now choose to message all students who submitted on time, students with graded on-time assignments, and students with ungraded on-time assignments. Additionally, for students who have not submitted, the "Message Students Who" feature in the Gradebook now includes a checkbox that allows instructors to exclude excused students from the message.

Bruin Learn / Canvas underwent enhancement on Saturday, April 20, 2024. With this change, there is  increased flexibility when managing grading schemes.

Bruin Learn / Canvas underwent scheduled enhancement on Thursday, April 4, 2024. With this update, data from the employee Operational Data Store (ODS) will be used to (a)perform a one-time bulk-provisioning of Bruin Learn user accounts for all current non-academic employees and (b) provision Bruin Learn user accounts for new non-academic employees daily on a set schedule.

Kaltura underwent scheduled maintenance on Sunday, May 26, 2024, at 10 pm PT through Monday, May 27, 2024, at 1 pm PT. No service degradation was expected during this time.

Turnitin had an unexpected service incident on Wednesday, May 15, 2024. Users accessing Turnitin UK, iThenticate (V1 and V2), Crossref Similarity Check, Turnitin Similarity, Originality, and SimCheck may have experienced slowness when uploading submissions and delayed report generation. 

Kaltura underwent scheduled maintenance on Sunday, May 19, 2024, at 10 pm PT through Monday, May 20, 2024, at 1 pm PT. No service degradation was expected during this time. 

The UCLA Information Security Office is aware of a phishing campaign attempting to coerce recipients into entering their UCLA Login and MFA credentials onto a fake UCLA Login webpage. This is not a legitimate e-mail and recipients should not provide any information or click any links associated with the phishing e-mail.
