Bruin Learn / Canvas Scheduled Enhancement underwent scheduled enhancement on Wednesday, May 15, 2024. With this change, AWS Lambda function will be upgraded from Node.js 16 runtime to Node.js runtime version 20.

IAMUCLA Support and the IT Services (ITS) teams will perform a Disaster Recovery (DR) exercise of the UCLA Single Sign-On (SSO) service on Sunday, 3/24/2024 from 1-2 a.m. PT. This is to ensure that critical applications will function as expected during an outage.
MyUCLA Gradebook underwent scheduled enhancement in February 2024. With this change, instructors will be able to directly authorize the MyUCLA Gradebook to connect with their Bruin Learn course grading information on the Incoming Grades page.

We are writing to share that Google has introduced a new model for Google Workspace for Education (GWE) that ends unlimited storage on Nov. 1, 2024, for all educational institutions.
DESCRIPTION: UCLA IT Services — Network Services will be upgrading the code on the campus core routers on Sunday, March 3, 0500-1400. No network interruption is expected during the maintenance as core routers will be upgraded one at a time, and the network traffic will be routed to redundant paths.
Turnitin and Gradescope underwent scheduled maintenance on Saturday, March 16, 2024 from 7:00am – 11:00am PDT. During this time, some Turnitin and Gradescope features were unavailable.
Bruin Learn / Canvas experienced an outage that started on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at 8:54 am PST and was resolved on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at 10:23 am PST.
On January 24, 2024, our IT team identified and stopped an illegal intrusion into the Life Sciences Division IT environment. We believe our actions isolated the unauthorized access to the targeted area, which is 1.19% of the campus community. We have engaged a leading cybersecurity firm to assist in our response and notified the FBI. With their assistance, we are conducting a thorough assessment of the incident, including determining the extent of the impact to servers and data.
